1 Corinthians 9:4  Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

      Our Life is just a race. We are not going to live on this earth forever. The thing is we are either running the good race, or we are running the bad race. When we are running the good race that means that we are a saved Christian living for God. If we are running the bad race that means we are a sinner that needs to repent. Everyone needs to repent and turn to God. The sad thing is, not everyone will listen or do it. The first step to running the good race is repenting- turning to God. You may think that you can do it all on your own, but the truth is you can't. One verse in the Bible says- 

I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me- John 14:6 

    What that verse is telling us is that Jesus is the only way that we can get to heaven. We can't get to heaven by doing good, we have to ask Jesus to be our savour- believe that he died on the Cross for our sins. Pray and ask him to come into your heart. God doesn't make you have to do it, He gives you a free will. I promise you that once you do this, you will be the happiest person on earth. If you have recieved Jesus into your heart, you just completed step one on The Race to the Cross!
